Our Food Pantry

In 2008, Haven started a food pantry for families in need in the Verde Valley. What started out as a small endeavor has grown tremendously and the number of families coming to the food pantry has also grown immensely.

Thanks to the generous donations from our church congregation, the citizens of Jerome, Rising Hope and Manzanita Outreach in Cottonwood, we are able to offer families a multitude of products: canned and packaged food, hygiene products and locally made frozen prepared foods. In addition we have gently used clothing items available.

The Haven Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 8:30 am until noon and all in the surrounding area are welcome. We normally post what we will have available on our Facebook Page each Tuesday evening.

Who makes this possible?

Randy Boardman makes at least two trips a week from Cottonwood with his truck to collect food and then deliver it to our Food Pantry.

Each week the Haven Congregation with help from many local residents restocks the pantry and then opens it each Wednesday from 8:30 am to noon. Some of the people involved are Ann and Liz Rees, Anu Hall, Alan Hall, Ethel Bacus, Rosemary Coleman, Tom Bauers, Mansel Mathews, Katie Fowler, Karen Sakala, Greg & Barb Worth, Randy & Joni Boardman and Pastor Vicki Lerdahl.
